This is not advertising, although it probably looks like it.

So my friends and I might've gone to see Iron Man 3 on IMAX just so we could all take a break from the stress (my dissertation practical is on 30th and I'm s*itting my pants because of it!) :D

I did a little... Iron Man-inspired make-up while I was half-asleep in the morning.

Excuse my face.

Red is one of those colours I don't have as an eyeshadow and the closest thing to red I had was Sleek MakeUP's Snapshots (732) palette's Sunset. I'll post photos if the palette another day.
So a bit of improvisation there for Iron Man's red...

Brow bone: Martini, from Sleek MakeUP's Snapshots palette
Inner lid: Golden Glow (shade 38), from Fashionista
Outer lid: Sunset, from Sleek MakeUP's Snapshots palette

As usual I just lined my upper lid with M.A.C's gel eyeliner (Blacktrack), and waterlines with Miss Sporty's kohl eyeliner (001 Magic). Under the lower lashes, at the outer corners I added a bit of blue as you all hopefully noticed. This was done with my years old eye definer from Rimmel quite frankly named Exaggerate waterproof eye definer, 240 Aqua Sparkle.

Whole make-up stayed on really nicely, until we stepped out of the cinema and it was hailing :'D

Anyway, we jumped on a train in Worcester Foregate with a dream and our cardigans. Well, none of us had cardigans, but let's not go into that. We had decided to spend the day in Birmingham and the first thing we did was...

BUBBLE TEA!

Although I guess mine was basically bubble cold hot chocolate, since I got it milky, with chocolate and strawberry bubbles and without the tea :D But noms. It was so good~

Now that I'm comparing the photos from the morning at home and afternoon at Bullring it looks like they are from apart thanks to the hair colour differences in the photos... but I assure, they were taken on the same day, just with different cameras.

After bubble tea Monica and I pretty much lost the guys and went around Bullring, invading all the shops. I ended up getting the cutest little Simba rattle from Disney Store just because, a summer dress from Forever 21 (ooops?), and a little love-box from Ann Summers (webpage can be NSFW) :D

Monica and I also ended up eating at Ed's and we had the best hot dogs ever. AND THE PANCAKES! Omnomnomnomnom~

Quite soon after that we headed for the movie and JSFLKSDJKLDJGLJG. I'm not gonna say anything, because this post would get considerably longer if I did, but one funny thing that happened at the cinema was that I actually had to request kids' IMAX glasses, because the adult ones were WAY too big for me. The didn't even go behind my ears, and instead constantly fell to cover my ears :'D
Conversation between the workers and I:
Me: Hey, do you have like kiddie sizes? Because these are too big for me.
Worker A: Yeah, here you go. *hands me glasses*
Worker B: If they are too small, tell me and I'll go get medium sized for you.
Me *puts the glasses on*: These are actually perfect! Thank you!

The most exciting thing at the cinema apart from the movie.

But that's it. That was my day at Birmingham. It was rather good and pleasant. Apart from the rain.
Anygays, stay human and blog ya later!

Let's talk about hair baby, let's talk about you and me!

So I'm on our Easter Break, which translates to "Get your damn dissertation done, and do something to yourself"-vacation in my case. In other words I'm trying desperately to chase after the motivation to do my dissie AND I also decided that after over 3 weeks of being constantly sick I need to pamper and take care of myself.
My hair was the perfect thing to start with!

This is my hair on a normal day, after a normal shower.

Now I've made a post about my hair before, so some of you might now that when I say "normal shower", I mean after washing my hair with TRESemmé Colour Revitalise Shampoo, and DROWNING it in the conditioner. The photo above doesn't have the Aussie Miracle Colour Insurance in it though.
And let's not forget the fact that I went blonde-ish, and then orange in between my reds...
Anywhooooo, let me introduce another Aussie product that I might a bit in love with:

3 Minute Miracle Colour Deep Treatment!

It pretty much works as the name says, you shower, wash your hair, pop this bad boy in your hair for 3 minutes and magic happens.
So one day I hopped into the shower with my friend (the HAIR treatment that is) and had a very nice bonding moment with it:

Hair after the treatment.

I know it doesn't look much different in the photo compared to the previous one (although in my opinion it's not nearly as frizzy in the latter one), but I can assure you hair felt SO MUCH better after that.
AND THE SMELL. Aaaaahhhh~ So good. I couldn't stop sniffing my hair for a while.
I gotta admit that if there's one hair brand I love, it's Aussie. I'm even starting to think that maybe I should switch my loyal TRESemmés to Aussie shampoo and conditioner...

Take the Heat leave-in spray!

I fully well knew that I still had a nearly full bottle of Schwarzkopf's got2b guardian angel, but something (fine, it was sale) drew me to buy and try this one, and it's nearly empty. Oops. But that's probably because I ALWAYS use this when I blow-dry my hair, and I always blow-dry my hair if it's cold outside and I need to go out PRONTO. Which is always, since I'm super lazy.
Once again an awesomely smelling product from Aussie that has a surprisingly good hold as well.

I also bought myself one of these:

Blue glittery Tangle Teezer!

A someone somewhere once said that these are good, so I thought "Mmm, why not try?" and got one AND HOLY FUDGE I'VE NEVER HAD ANYTHING THAT GLIDES SO NICELY THROUGH WET HAIR ASAKDSKJFKDSF.
For once I can actually apply MCI or heat protection or any other leave-in treatment and brush my hair nicely, without tearing half of it in the process.

It has longer and shorter... spikes? (Are they even called spikes?)

First I was all "Ugh, I'm paying £10 for a brush," but then, if I may be honest, I wasn't disappointed. Worth the money and nowadays I carry this with me instead of a comb. I might even invest in a compact one that I can take with me everywhere instead while I leave the bigger one home.

So yeah, despite my constant colouring etc. my hair's doing actually pretty well, it's not growing fast or anything, but at least it's maintaining a healthy shine and strenght so I must be doing something right.
Something that I've started doing after I colour my hair is, going to Toni&Guy to get a bit of my ends cut so that my hair can then freely split and grow and so on. I actually should book an appointment soon since my side-buzz is starting to be quite long...

I was meant to show my make-up brushes in this post as well, but I feel this is getting a bit too long, so that has to wait for another post, sorry!

2am musings

I just washed some of my brushes (something that I haven't done in AGES) and my mind is BLOWN.
I mean...  I wish I had taken before and after photos now. And "during washing" photos as well.

As I was washing my kabuki and other powder brush the water was nearly black. WTH!? Mind you I usually always "tap" all of my brushes out as well as I can after use, but still... SO MUCH BROWN and I'm not even sure I managed to wash them completely.
My blush brush (ehehehe) of course leaked pink water for a while, but in the end the water was running quite clear.

Eyeshadow brushes were surprisingly easy, but that's probably because I usually use specific one for natural and light colours and another one for darker and bright colours, and always in between wipe and pat them as clean as I can.

I have to admit that the hardest one was my eyeliner brush (a thinner M.A.C. one), which I apparently never have posted a picture of so here you go.
You can't believe how much gel eyeliner one small brush like that can suck... let me tell you, it's A LOT. I always wipe up the excess eyeliner on my hand, but whooo boy that brush still had so much excess in it that it took me probably 5 minutes on that one alone.

Oh no, I lied. The hardest one, which I probably have to rewash AGAIN as soon as it's dry and I see the result of THIS washing has to be my angled eyebrow brush, which had eyelash adhesive and whatnot left on it after I used it for my Mystique make-up...

As soon as they're dry, I'll be posting photos of them!
But till then stay human and blog ya later~

Phew.

I am not going to lie. My life has been a stressful mess lately and I've nearly given up a few times, but here I am!

In the past month and a bit more that I haven't updated, there's been two dance competitions that us Saints (to whom I'm the treasurer fot) participated, so organising costumes, buses etc. for those took some time, I found out that someone I know has leukaemia and of course my lectures started again so they take their time, on top of all the dance rehearsals, which I have Mondays, Wednesdays and Sundays... Last two weeks I also spent campaigning in our Students' Union's elections, and I got quite sick and am still trying to get better. I've barely slept (until last night), and I've been eating SO badly it's ridiculous.

Of course now I'll be concentrating on my dissertation and coursework more than usual, so I can't promise any exciting, regular updates.
What I AM doing, is planning a new background etc for the blog so that's exciting I guess :'D

Anyway, I'll need to go and pretend to do some actual work now so I wish all you readers, who've stuck with me through all these breaks, the best!
Stay human and blog ya later~

Sad Sutina is sad.
Also, Saints' theme for a certain charity night-out was "Japanese" so that is what happened.

In the words of Jack Skellington: What's this?

Well, my dear readers, this is a post where I dump a stupid amount of photos of nail polishes and nails (amongst some photos of my face) I realised I haven't posted before. And can't remember what I was supposed to write about them...

Barry M. - Teal (334)

I bought this back in... October (at least that's what the photo indicates). I have NO idea why I haven't posted any samples of is before...
Anyway, it was love at first sight, what can I say :D

Quite soon after that I went nuts and bought some glitters...

Barry M. - Ruby Glitter (353)

With some, uh... Pearlfashion UK - Pomegranate. I think. No, that might've actually been Anytime - Juicy Fruit. (And this, kids, is why you need to blog about this kind of stuff immediately!)

Barry M. - Aqua Glitter (340)

With some Barry M. - Teal, because asdfghjklölkjhgfd. How good are they together!?

Barry M. - Amethyst Glitter (354)

If I remember correctly I had Barry M. - Silver Foil under all the glitter. That OR the Barry M. - Lilac Foil. I guess it could've worked better with something brighter. Next time!

P.S.
If you didn't know by now, I'm a bit obsessed with Barry M. polishes.

My super duper awesome advent calendar.

I got a keyring and a magnet on top of all the chocolate. I was a very happy girl :D
Just posting this here, because.

Let's get to my face now, shall we?
Now usually, when I either
a) prefer sleep over everything,
b) am being too lazy, or
c) need to do something where I sweat
I go for a light make-up, that looks pretty much likes this:

When my hair was still beautifully orange instead of the mess it is now ;__;

So, in other words (or Jeremy Renner's) I go for brows, eyes, lips. Bit of eyeliner, mascara and some lipbalm. That's it.

And when I have time/am not lazy/am not going to sweat, I might do something more "showy", like this:

I have NO idea what's wrong with my face. I can be totally attractive when I want to be....

See?
First I thought the make-up above was for our dance society's christmas show where I might've or might've not danced a k-pop mash-up, but then I saw photos from the show and realised that my make-up was nowhere near that...

So I assume that the make-up was just for some random night out...
Quite soon after our dance show and everything I fudged off to Finland, about which you'll read more soon-ish as soon as I sort out THOSE photos.

Make-up for friends' housewarming get together in Finland.

So that's it.. I guess.

New dresses!

Hey y'all again!

So I may be a bit ahead, but I already got dresses for Colours Ball and VoScAs :'D Which are both in May...
I didn't got to Colours Ball last year, but I did go to VoScAs and some might remember my dress from then.  This year I'm aiming to attend both, since I already got the dresses :D

Cue photos taken in our lovely kitchen which is the only place with enough space (and light) to take photos with timer....

Linny Brokade, from BikBok in Finland.

This is the one I'm planning to weat at VoScAs. It's a bit... SHORT, so I guess I'll have to get matching tights that hide my bum and undies x)

The back. Duh. You can see how short it is :D

Splash, from Forever Unique

Aaand this is the one I'll wear for Colours Ball. I originally wanted the green one, but they only had size 10 left, and apparently I'm a size 8 when it comes to Forever Unique's dresses :'D
Not that I'm complaining! The blue one is gorgeous~

No zipper!

I panicked for a second thinking how I'm supposed to get it on. But then I realised it's stretchy enough :D

Well, then.  Now we all just need to wait until May in order to see how I'm look in these in the end x)

Airport blogging!

Yes, I am on my way back to Worcester.
Yes, I got bored in Amsterdam.

My hair's a mess D:

Talking about hair, as I went through the passport control the two guys there just went "You changed your hair!" and for a while I thought they remembered me from last time, but then they showed me my picture on the screen (which they had gotten because I went through the automatic machine-thingy that takes passports with chips) and it was my actual, colourful passport picture :D
Had I known they'd be comparing, I would've smiled more for the camera at the passport control x)

I also wish I would've been able to take the earlier flight which would be leaving about now... but nooooo... they gave me the later one which means that I might have to (most probably) spend my night Birmingham International. It wouldn't be the first time, but it's not nice either.
And if I do... well, I'll keep you all updated.

But I think I'm getting to my gate now so stay human and blog ya later~!
