But this week it's all back to business! (Especially since I really decide on my dissertation/independent study!)
I thought I'd share a topic with you that's been coming up with few of my friends, and me a few times over the past two weeks.
Hair.
I've dyed my hair countless of times (well, I could count them and I'd probably get to double digits immediately), and everyone who's died their hair knows it can be very hard for the hair. Especially if you are going from black to blond, or just bleaching your hair for whatever reason.
It's been a while since I last dyed my hair (red), but since I had dyed my hair blonde (twice) before that, it took its toll on my hair, and especially the ends.
Usually whenever I shower I, in the lack of better word, shed a lot of hair. And I mean A LOT. Red hair everywhere. And if the drain is blocked my someone's hair, it's usually mine. Don't worry, I make sure I clean it afterwards x)
Then when I brush or comb it some time after shower... MORE HAIR. Thankfully enough my hair's quite thick. It's not super thick, but thick enough to hide the fact that I like to shed my hair.
So how do I tackle the problem of dry hair, dead ends, and hair shedding?
Well, readers (followers? I don't know what to call you to be honest), meet:
My Fantastic Four!
From left to right: TRESemmé Colour Revitalise Shampoo, TRESemmé Colour Revitalise Conditioner (don't worry, I have bigger bottles that are 900ml in the bathroom, I was just too lazy to bring the upstairs so I used my travel sized bottles!), Schwarzkopf's got2b guardian angel heat protection, and Aussie's Miracle Colour Insurance.
I am most obsessed with the conditioner, I admit. I use it way more than any other product.
Besides, conditioner is the best way to help the dry and nearly dead ends because they need it.
After shower I towel dry my hair, spray some Aussie MCI on it and comb through. It helps to de-tangle, smells good and leaves the hair shiny and prevents it from drying. I'm going to be abusing it during summer, since sun tends to dry hair badly.
Only one I don't use weekly is the heat protection, but it's still very important and dear to me, since it protects the hair and helps to keep it in shape whenever I straighten or curl my hair.
And so this is how my hair normally looks after shower, and all that treatment (without straightening or curling):
My point is: don't neglect your hair. Treat it well and give it delicious things, since it loves it (I've heard chocolate is really good for hair!)
I wasn't up to much during Easter otherwise, apart from musing about hair, but my friend Jenni did come to see me in Worcester for a couple of days and we attended Easter dinner that was arranged by some of the international students from Minnesota. It was DELICIOUS and there was lots of food, and Jenni and I made a carrot cake with a derpy CHIRP on it (I'll share a picture when I get my hands on one ;D)!
First week of the break my nails were just blue:

Excuse my roots, I'll be re-dying my hair next month x)
You can see that my hair is still nicely red, even though I dyed it almost 3 months ago.
Of course it's not as red as it was after dying, but it's still red instead of that awkward green/orange/brown shade I used to get whenever I had had red hair for a while x)
Being blonde first helped, naturally.

First week of the break my nails were just blue:
Brought to you by: 17 fast finish and Barry M. Base/topcoat
Then I got bored and decided to add some other colour to it:
Same base, colour and top, but I added Barry M's purple nail crackle.
I'm afraid I have to hurry to dance now, which we haven't had during these two weeks, so I'm really excited to go!
Also, some of you might've noticed that I changed the background and you can expect some more changes as soon as I get my essays and other assessments out of the way!
Stay human and blog ya later!
