The movies you watch, end up watching you.

I am working on different ideas, but I kind of just sat down last week and doodled some eye make-up designs.
I had two inspirations: The Lion King, especially Nala, and Marvel's Loki, especially Tom Hiddleston's version.

Now, I didn't want to go and do EXACT copies of anything, but, for example the black around Nala's eyes, I wanted to do something similar.
And of course, I am not a man, nor do I have black hair, like Loki, but I build my design around the colour of the costume and his character.

Without further ado, I shall throw pictures at you.

Oh yeah, I did dye my hair red. Should've done Mufasa or Simba instead x)

It looks very normal and basic, partly because I wanted to create something that I'd actually dare to wear in public as well :D

Colours that I used are circled in the picture, you can also see parts of my design if you look closely.

Process of the eyes went pretty much like this:
- add the beige
- add the yellow (beauty uk), add the other yellow (Gosh)
- add orange
- add brown
- do the eyeliner

Look surprised. You can see the corners clearly in this photo.

I wanted the eyeliner to remind Nala's eyes more than anything else so I paid attention to the corners and shape of her eyes.
Otherwise, I went for more a colourful approach, using yellow and orange instead of just the natural beige and brown.

Lower eyelid has only yellow.

Upper one has orange and yellow.

Lips: M.A.C. Cremesheen Creme Cup.

I put some bronzer all over my face, but you can't even see it in the pictures... oops.
Next up, Loki inspired make-up!

Would've been more fun with black hair :D

Let me quickly explain Loki to you, who don't know him.
Originally Loki is a god and a jötunn (a frost giant) in Norse mythology. He has the ability to use magic and change his shape. He can also turn into a woman, and hence is a mother... well, father to creatures like Fenrir. Marvel's Loki is an adopted brother to Thor, rescued by Odin from Jötunheim, and also a villain in most of the stories.
He doesn't differ that much form the Norse Loki, but of course when you take a character from mythology and turn them into a supervillain, you have to do some changes :D
I suggest you take a look at both the mythology, which I've read since I was a kid, and the comics. They are very interesting.

Now as I mentioned before, I was inspired by the new Thor movie's Loki, and especially the costume and its colours, so I knew from the start that my make-up would have three main colours: black, green and gold.

Colours used are, once again, circled. Gold is Fashionista's Golden Glow shade 38.

I put pale green very lightly under the brow line.

Green on the outside, gold on the inside.

I always feel that femme!Loki would be very feminine and accurate with her eyeliner and brows, so I tried to create a bit more elegant eyeliner and brows than normally.
You can tell me how I did :D

Then I took out Thor's helmet, and decided to put it on for fun. Shamefully I don't have Loki's glorious helmet :(

I do not own any black lipsticks so I just used my wet 'n' wild black kohl. Works the same way as a lipstick or a lip liner, and it's not the first time I do this x)
Of course, it smudges very easily, and I was going to movies (Haywire) so I decided to take it off and replace with a red lipstick.

Lips: Lumene It's Just A Thought 522

I also made Loki inspired nails :D
Black: Rimmel 60 Seconds Vinyl Shine, green: Collection 2000 31 Spangles, and glitter: wet 'n' wild E460D Kaleidoscope.

That's all for tonight I guess. Stay human, and blog y'all later!
