This is not advertising, although it probably looks like it.

So my friends and I might've gone to see Iron Man 3 on IMAX just so we could all take a break from the stress (my dissertation practical is on 30th and I'm s*itting my pants because of it!) :D

I did a little... Iron Man-inspired make-up while I was half-asleep in the morning.

Excuse my face.

Red is one of those colours I don't have as an eyeshadow and the closest thing to red I had was Sleek MakeUP's Snapshots (732) palette's Sunset. I'll post photos if the palette another day.
So a bit of improvisation there for Iron Man's red...

Brow bone: Martini, from Sleek MakeUP's Snapshots palette
Inner lid: Golden Glow (shade 38), from Fashionista
Outer lid: Sunset, from Sleek MakeUP's Snapshots palette

As usual I just lined my upper lid with M.A.C's gel eyeliner (Blacktrack), and waterlines with Miss Sporty's kohl eyeliner (001 Magic). Under the lower lashes, at the outer corners I added a bit of blue as you all hopefully noticed. This was done with my years old eye definer from Rimmel quite frankly named Exaggerate waterproof eye definer, 240 Aqua Sparkle.

Whole make-up stayed on really nicely, until we stepped out of the cinema and it was hailing :'D

Anyway, we jumped on a train in Worcester Foregate with a dream and our cardigans. Well, none of us had cardigans, but let's not go into that. We had decided to spend the day in Birmingham and the first thing we did was...

BUBBLE TEA!

Although I guess mine was basically bubble cold hot chocolate, since I got it milky, with chocolate and strawberry bubbles and without the tea :D But noms. It was so good~

Now that I'm comparing the photos from the morning at home and afternoon at Bullring it looks like they are from apart thanks to the hair colour differences in the photos... but I assure, they were taken on the same day, just with different cameras.

After bubble tea Monica and I pretty much lost the guys and went around Bullring, invading all the shops. I ended up getting the cutest little Simba rattle from Disney Store just because, a summer dress from Forever 21 (ooops?), and a little love-box from Ann Summers (webpage can be NSFW) :D

Monica and I also ended up eating at Ed's and we had the best hot dogs ever. AND THE PANCAKES! Omnomnomnomnom~

Quite soon after that we headed for the movie and JSFLKSDJKLDJGLJG. I'm not gonna say anything, because this post would get considerably longer if I did, but one funny thing that happened at the cinema was that I actually had to request kids' IMAX glasses, because the adult ones were WAY too big for me. The didn't even go behind my ears, and instead constantly fell to cover my ears :'D
Conversation between the workers and I:
Me: Hey, do you have like kiddie sizes? Because these are too big for me.
Worker A: Yeah, here you go. *hands me glasses*
Worker B: If they are too small, tell me and I'll go get medium sized for you.
Me *puts the glasses on*: These are actually perfect! Thank you!

The most exciting thing at the cinema apart from the movie.

But that's it. That was my day at Birmingham. It was rather good and pleasant. Apart from the rain.
Anygays, stay human and blog ya later!

"Big things have small beginnings."

So I am bored, because there's basically nothing to do now that I'm penniless and trying to get a job or coming up different ways to rob a bank. (One of those is a joke, guess which one.)
And then suddenly I thought. HEY. Prometheus.

I went to see the movie BEFORE I ran out of money. It was pretty much the most expensive thing I did with the rest of my money. I know, priorities, but I had waited for that movie FOR A WHILE.
So 1st of June, I went to see it. AND IT IS VISUALLY SO GORGEOUS.
Honestly people, go see it. It is beautiful.

ANYWAY, today I got inspired randomly by these few promotional photos of the three main characters/actors. I just decided "Hey, I wanna do an eye make-up inspired by these."

And 15 minutes later this was born:

I only did one eye, so you'll be getting pictures of one eye.

The orange is actually way brighter in real life, but the sun just went down as I started taking pictures...

 A bit brighter in this!

I wish I had blue mascara, because it would've worked with this so well.

Tools of trade.

♥ just a hint of M.A.C.'s gel eyeliner on the lashline
♥ a bit of black Miss Sporty on the waterline
♥ Lumene eyebrow pencil to define my messy eyebrow
♥ Two blues (the ones on the very right of the bottom palette) from beauty UK's palette
♥ Two darker blues from Famous' Midnight palette (the top one)
♥ orange lines with neon orange by modelsown

And voilà!
I might explore that kind of make-up more some day, since it was quite fun to do... Because I got to draw random lines in a neon orange eyeliner.

ALSO, my Wicked track jacket is still on sale if anyone's interested! More info at my previous post.

Now I'm going to take a shower to wash my one eye and hands.

Assemble!

Oh gosh this new blogger confuses me... oh well. It's just a matter of getting used to it!

Anyway, my flatmates, friends and I went to see The Avengers on IMAX in Birmingham yesterday!
I'm preparing something "interesting" for you all, but till then, have a short story of yesterday's antics x)

On our way to Birmingham Moor Street, we had the pleasure to sit next to kids going home after a long school day. Monica (my flatmate) and I thought they must've been about 13. There were two girls sitting with a bunch of boys, and their conversation at some point was about make-up. Yes.
One of the girls said "I look so different without mascara." (Opposed to the more natural "I look so different WITH mascara."), and the boys started wondering "How can you look so different? It's just on your lashes!"
It was quite an amusing conversation to witness x)

 Sushi approves.

In the end most of the kids left when we got to Droitwich Spa, and we didn't get to hear any more interesting stories.

Monica asked me to do 'duck face'. So I contributed to the society.
Btw, no face is more stupid than duck face. Except "I'm being deadly serious. Nothing's fun"- face.

This is also a stupid face. It's my... "I'm so excited I'm gonna pee my pants like a chihuahua"- face.

After an hour and some minutes we arrived to Birmingham, ran to Superdrug to get something we needed and then ran to Millennium Point, where the giant screen is situated.

Compulsory Avengers- posters picture.

I am not going to spoil the movie to any possible readers who are going to, or want to, see the movie, but I can tell you that I was going through EMOTIONS during and after the movie, and also thought it was AMAZING. Alexandra Byrne's costume designs are something I also admire greatly.
And the make-ups.. AHHHH. So simple and GOOD.

Compulsory "Yes, we are Avengers geeks."- picture with Monica as Thorette and me as Iron Man.

I have nothing else to tell you all now, expect that I am very occupied by my dance and physical theatre assessments, but I'll try to come up with a new post soon.

Stay human, blog ya later, and let me share this amazing thought by Tom Hiddleston with you:
"Don't judge people on who they used to be. Allow them to be who they are. See them "now". Not "then"."

The movies you watch, end up watching you.

I am working on different ideas, but I kind of just sat down last week and doodled some eye make-up designs.
I had two inspirations: The Lion King, especially Nala, and Marvel's Loki, especially Tom Hiddleston's version.

Now, I didn't want to go and do EXACT copies of anything, but, for example the black around Nala's eyes, I wanted to do something similar.
And of course, I am not a man, nor do I have black hair, like Loki, but I build my design around the colour of the costume and his character.

Without further ado, I shall throw pictures at you.

Oh yeah, I did dye my hair red. Should've done Mufasa or Simba instead x)

It looks very normal and basic, partly because I wanted to create something that I'd actually dare to wear in public as well :D

Colours that I used are circled in the picture, you can also see parts of my design if you look closely.

Process of the eyes went pretty much like this:
- add the beige
- add the yellow (beauty uk), add the other yellow (Gosh)
- add orange
- add brown
- do the eyeliner

Look surprised. You can see the corners clearly in this photo.

I wanted the eyeliner to remind Nala's eyes more than anything else so I paid attention to the corners and shape of her eyes.
Otherwise, I went for more a colourful approach, using yellow and orange instead of just the natural beige and brown.

Lower eyelid has only yellow.

Upper one has orange and yellow.

Lips: M.A.C. Cremesheen Creme Cup.

I put some bronzer all over my face, but you can't even see it in the pictures... oops.
Next up, Loki inspired make-up!

Would've been more fun with black hair :D

Let me quickly explain Loki to you, who don't know him.
Originally Loki is a god and a jötunn (a frost giant) in Norse mythology. He has the ability to use magic and change his shape. He can also turn into a woman, and hence is a mother... well, father to creatures like Fenrir. Marvel's Loki is an adopted brother to Thor, rescued by Odin from Jötunheim, and also a villain in most of the stories.
He doesn't differ that much form the Norse Loki, but of course when you take a character from mythology and turn them into a supervillain, you have to do some changes :D
I suggest you take a look at both the mythology, which I've read since I was a kid, and the comics. They are very interesting.

Now as I mentioned before, I was inspired by the new Thor movie's Loki, and especially the costume and its colours, so I knew from the start that my make-up would have three main colours: black, green and gold.

Colours used are, once again, circled. Gold is Fashionista's Golden Glow shade 38.

I put pale green very lightly under the brow line.

Green on the outside, gold on the inside.

I always feel that femme!Loki would be very feminine and accurate with her eyeliner and brows, so I tried to create a bit more elegant eyeliner and brows than normally.
You can tell me how I did :D

Then I took out Thor's helmet, and decided to put it on for fun. Shamefully I don't have Loki's glorious helmet :(

I do not own any black lipsticks so I just used my wet 'n' wild black kohl. Works the same way as a lipstick or a lip liner, and it's not the first time I do this x)
Of course, it smudges very easily, and I was going to movies (Haywire) so I decided to take it off and replace with a red lipstick.

Lips: Lumene It's Just A Thought 522

I also made Loki inspired nails :D
Black: Rimmel 60 Seconds Vinyl Shine, green: Collection 2000 31 Spangles, and glitter: wet 'n' wild E460D Kaleidoscope.

That's all for tonight I guess. Stay human, and blog y'all later!

This. Is my face.

Updated the lipstick pictures (except one) in one of my old posts!!!

This post only serves to show my face. There is not really much else here this time, because what I'm working on takes time x)

On Monday I went to see David Fincher's The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo, which is a great movie with awesome music by Trent Reznor and Atticus Ross, and people should go see that movie, see the original movies, and read the books! So yeah, I wanted to look a bit more presentable than on an average day which I would spend inside my room in my pyjamas, and without make-up.

I present you:
Eyes:
beauty uk eye shadow collection 1 only the brown shades),
M.A.C. gel eyeliner (Blacktrack),
M.A.C. Studio Fix Lash mascara,
Lips:
Sleek make-up lipstick Amped 781

Wet hair is wet :I

I really like Gosh's X-Ceptional Wear foundation, since it just kind of absorbs into my skin and adapts to it while still covers well, and it feels like it just looks better the longer I wear it :D
Besides, I don't need to spend so much money on powders since I really don't need a super powder with this foundation :3

On Tuesday I went to see War Horse, which also a great movie, and I had trouble keeping my emotions in shape, and I actually even cried at few points. Tom Hiddleston is truly amazing in that movie.
Luckily enough my make-up stayed on surprisingly well, but I had taken a picture before I left the house, just in case.

Eyes:
Famous Trio Eye Collection midnight,
M.A.C. gel eyeliner
M.A.C. Studio Fix Lash mascara
wet 'n' wild eyeliner
Lips:
Sleek make-up Mystic 783

Lazy make-up is lazy.

The darker eye shadow looks really dark, almost black, which amuses me since in reality it's just dark blue.

The dark blue on the right is the one I used for the corners.

I originally got this palette so I could do the scales, and eyes for Mystique. Remember, this one?

Yeah. I didn't have the right shade of blue for it, so had to get one. Because the cream make-up doesn't work that well alone on the scales, painted with liquid latex:

The cream make-up covers them okay, but they stay lighter than rest of the skin for some reason.
The white nearly showed through some of them so. I had to pull out the eye shadow.
(And I'm sorry, I took this pictures when I didn't have a proper camera, and I refuse to do the make-up again JUST to take two pictures)

Eyes are the darkest blue from the palette and scales are the blue from the middle.

The lighting is a bit bad in that picture, but it shows the contrast between skin, scales and the eye shadow the best so I'm not complaining :D

Now I will run away again to spend my time on something redundant.
Stay human and blog ya later~!

It's not 221b, but it's a home.

As I promised, an update about our new house and mostly, my room :)

Let's kick off with a very artistic picture of our stairs...

My room is on the third floor (Get it? Room on the 3rd Floor? ;D) so in a way I stay fit 'cause I have to run those stairs up and down all the time if I wanna go to the kitchen or the bathroom.
Yes, we only have rooms on the third floor x)

So my room has a double bed:

Picture taken the day after moving in.

Actually, all the rooms have a double bed. But only two of us have these kinds of beds.
It's actually a very nice change after Uni's single bed and the sofa I slept on for nearly two months during summer break x) And besides, before moving to England I had a double bed so it's familiar in a way :3
And aren't my bed sheets cute!? By bed's probably the girliest thing in my room. I kid you not :D

Another girly thing would be the top and surroundings of my dresser:

Never mind the laundry in the crisp box...

And that only because I keep my make ups, nail polishes and such on top of it.
The drawers themselves are FULL of clothes from the top one to the third one. The two bottom ones hold my pyjamas, belts, wigs, towels etc. But the three top ones... they are SO full.
I really need more hangers so I can sort them out...

Some of my clothes are stored in my wardrobe:

You can't see it in this, but there's a drawer at the bottom.

The wardrobe contains my dresses, jackets, shoes and underwear (in the drawer), so there's still room for more hoodies, shirts etc. and hence the need of hangers.
The top is an excellent place to store bags, obviously. The door is decorated with Heidi's art of Sam from Tron: Legacy :3 I'll be adding more to it when I get the chance.

Actually... let me introduce you the ridiculous, old school, wardrobe of my flatmate Sam (whose room is on the second floor, so totally not as cool):

You must be thinking what's so ridiculous about it...

Well, let me open it for you:

On top of the fact that you can go to Narnia through it...

It has a ridiculous amount of silly compartments for... all kinds of (old school) things...

You should've seen my face when I saw these :D

Anyway, back to my room. Yes, it actually has more than just a bed, drawer and a wardrobe!
Like a desk and a chair for example:

Let me tell you, it is a really nice chair.

Well, it's a bit boring to just look at the desk, isn't it? So let me introduce it to you a bit more closely:

Bad picture is bad.

That's pretty much what's currently on it. My laptop Daniel, The X-Files (complete collector's edition), hard drive, speakers, August's Ranzuki, wallet, Post-it notes and sooo on.
You can also see my CD box which only holds about 5 CDs atm and my Nintendo DS holder.

It has 3 drawers, but only one of them is actually interesting:

Mah DVDs!

I counted my DVD-movies (what a stupid word) and I have over 100 (most of them are in Finland) :D I think Tron & Tron:Legacy were my 100th and 101st x) Not counting the TV series.
The other two drawers have papers, pencil case, plastic pockets and other stuff like that so yeah... not as interesting x)

Now to the final piece of furniture, the wall shelf above my desk:

No, I don't have two copies of that book. The thing on top is the detachable cover.

See? Not as girly as my drawer and bed eventhough I tried with the jewelry xD
I think the Iron Man and Thor kinda... overtake it, don't you? :'D
Here you can see all my books, plays and magazines. Yes, mostly plays x)

Btw, I'm thinking about making a post about those accessories and my shorts, but that you have to wait till next week.

Well, that was the last piece of furniture so now I'll just enterntain you with my posters and other pictures that hung on my walls!

Glow in the dark!Tron: Legacy and Kick-Ass with the silly Saints.

Now these two are right above my bed as you can see... waiting for the night one of them falls down and causes me to sh*t my pants...

Marvel Heroes, Friends, the official Saints and Chris Hemsworth :3

I need something next to Mr. Hemsworth... He looks terribly lonely like that and it's so empty to his left (our right) x) I wonder if I could find Mr. Hiddles(ton) from somewhere...
The wall on the other side of my bed is totally empty, but I just ordered Wolverine, Spock and Iron Man 2 posters with my purehmv points so it won't be like that for long 8)

Sherlock Holmes: A Game of Shadows and The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo

Yes, my wardrobe actually has these on it. No, it's not disturbing at all when Sherlock stares at you while you sleep.
And yes, it's the British version of The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo. It has Daniel Craig :3 And Rooney Mara~

The Legend of the Guardians, Narnia 3 and part of the World

I just had to put these somewhere. Turned out that the door was the best place for them :D

The World, Liverpool calendar and my movie "bulletin board"

I think the only one asking for explanation is the movie bulletin board:

Ta-dah!

There are usually way too many films I want to see. So I decided to make this so I can keep up what comes out and when and whether I want to see them bad or just see them x)
At the moment the "gonna see so hard" side has seven films so it's only one more than the "like to see" side :D

Presents from friends, my dad and Agent P!

Now, I'm not usually one to put pictures of just myself on the walls BUT that Everybody Dance collage I got from Eeva and I really like it AND it reminds me of my lovely parapara students... so I just had to put it there :D The drawing next to it is from Jenni~
Then there's a picture of my dad from... I don't even know what year. He's standing next to a... I'm not even sure what car xD But I like the picture and it's a way to keep him close.
Agent P, because... it's PERRY! :D
I still have some stuff to put up to be honest...

Btw, it's pretty difficult to put posters on the walls in a house that barely has ANY straight lines:

Well.. those were all the pictures and posters so I guess that's about i--- HOLD IT!

I do have a window in my room!

Dark picture is dark.

My window sill is actually big enough for me to sit on it, so sometimes I do just that. Sit on it and look outside (or read something).
The vue is nothing special, but I still like it:

Paavo and Tane. Paavo's having some troubles right now ;__;

If I actually stick my head out enough, I can see pretty far down the street. It's pretty cool. I can see the best of the architecture (roof tops) when I look out :)

Now. That's about it.
Next time: stories-but-not-stories about my shorts and accessories, till then stay human and let me amuse you with my geeky desires:

I SO wanna add a X after Charles.

I also wanna add "BI" to the beginning and "ION" to the end so it'd read "BIFROST STATION".
