I just washed some of my brushes (something that I haven't done in AGES) and my mind is BLOWN.
I mean... I wish I had taken before and after photos now. And "during washing" photos as well.
As I was washing my kabuki and other powder brush the water was nearly black. WTH!? Mind you I usually always "tap" all of my brushes out as well as I can after use, but still... SO MUCH BROWN and I'm not even sure I managed to wash them completely.
My blush brush (ehehehe) of course leaked pink water for a while, but in the end the water was running quite clear.
Eyeshadow brushes were surprisingly easy, but that's probably because I usually use specific one for natural and light colours and another one for darker and bright colours, and always in between wipe and pat them as clean as I can.
I have to admit that the hardest one was my eyeliner brush (a thinner M.A.C. one), which I apparently never have posted a picture of so here you go.
You can't believe how much gel eyeliner one small brush like that can suck... let me tell you, it's A LOT. I always wipe up the excess eyeliner on my hand, but whooo boy that brush still had so much excess in it that it took me probably 5 minutes on that one alone.
Oh no, I lied. The hardest one, which I probably have to rewash AGAIN as soon as it's dry and I see the result of THIS washing has to be my angled eyebrow brush, which had eyelash adhesive and whatnot left on it after I used it for my Mystique make-up...
As soon as they're dry, I'll be posting photos of them!
But till then stay human and blog ya later~
