The Fly was harrassing me ALL night.

So Animecon came and went and I have to admit that despite all the smaller and bigger problems we faced it was fun eventhough I had NO time to really go and see any panels I wanted to see.
As I mentioned before I was performing in the paraparashow, taught one paraparalesson and I also co-hosted the cosplay-competitions with my team mate Kiira. 't was busy.

Ach well. Let's get to the random stories again before I return to the weekend.

I am an amazing cook.

Last two weeks I spent mostly inside watching Supernatural since I had no money to actually take a bus anywhere.
There were moments when I left the house to take the dog out, or see a friend who lives in Kannelmäki OR one day when my cousin drove us to Myyrmäki to do some shopping.

That day I wore my cousin's new-old dress and my aunt's OLD (like 80's old) waist-belt :3

Which both are nowadays mine, btw x) My cousin bought the dress a while ago and THEN decided it doesn't suit her and gave it to me... don't mind if I do~
My task during the shopping trip was to just follow my cousin and her daughter and tell my opinion IF she asked. I was rewarded with Chinese food :D
I got a new necklace as well, because it was ridiculously cheap. Yay :3

So lovely~

Last... Monday? Tuesday? One day I made new nails for the week AND weekend.
I, once again, borrowed the colours from my cousin and used my own Gosh's French Manicure Base, Wet 'n' Wild's glitter and Top Coat.

Left hand on the left and right on the right x)

To be honest, the nails still look really good and I've been wearing them for a week now o_O
Yes, they endured through the weekend even though I was doing a lot of stuff.
Talking about the weekend, let me show you some pictures of few of my favourite things from the weekend:

Kiira with "yukata helvetti".

We both needed yukata for the cosplay-competition so we borrowed some from our friend Saara and team mate Sefie.
What Saara gave us was a huge Veikon Kone- plastic bag full of all kinds of stuff meant for kimono and even Hello Kitty earwarmers and some random socks...
The second I saw the bag I named it "yukata helvetti" (yukata hell).

Oh, but what is THIS!?

It is none other than:

Parapara Paradise PS2-game!

I've played the proper arcade game that you can see in the back cover of the game (the one with the girls) and the PS2-game before and I have to admit that the idea is GOOD but the execution NOT so much.
The sensors in both versions are just terrible and don't even work properly.
Aka if you dance you have to just wave your hands frantically or just put them to where they're supposed to be... not actually dance the choreography :'''D

And last but not least:

Dodge Dart Swinger '73

I'm a bit of a car geek sometimes... This one could also be a newer Dodge Dart, but the grille and the rear is too much of a '73 Dart so I don't think I'm that off saying it's the '73 :D

I don't really have anything else to tell right now so I'll get back to you some day.
Have fun and don't get burned in the sun!

I'm the Queen of Random

And this, is the Random post of Doom.
I mean it. There's really no point. Just a bunch of pics and caps to tell you what's been going on.

Let's start with the fact that I'm back from my relatives and I didn't return to Helsinki empty handed.

This. Is an old duvet cover which I'm gonna make a reversible dress out of. Hopefully.

It just depends on whether or not there's enough fabric since I don't want the hearts to go sideways :D
Sooo cute~ I got it from my aunt who doesn't use it anymore since it has a small hole.
IF I have to decide to go with only one colour, which one should I take, The white or the red one?
I also saved an old bunny plush toy that my younger cousin had abandoned. I don't have pictures of it, but you can see the green cutie jammin' with me and another bunny in my robo.to.

I was looking for some sewing patterns from my aunt's old sewing magazines for the dress... but the magazines were from the "lovely" 90's...

As you can see...

Ah, since I was born in the late 80's, it means I grew up in the worst time of 90's, where the trouser legs were just a tad too short and shirts way too big with shoulder pads.
Not. Cool. Man.
The coolest things about 90's have to be the music and the cartoons.

Definitely not this...

Or these...

And this is not even that bad :D

So yeah... I might have some kind of... antipathies towards the style of the 90's x)
I know that the shoulder pads were WAY bigger in the 80's, but I still remember them so vividly from the 90's dress shirts and women's suits :'''D
And now those freaking Lady Gaga and Rihanna are trying to bring them back. Please. Stop them.

So many... and so many terrible sewing patterns...

On to happier (?) news! Let the randomness continue!

This is what I have to deal with when I wake up.

In the photo my hair isn't even that bad, it's usually way worse :D
I have naturally curly hair... not anything close to an afro, but very strong natural waves, so to say, that make my hair go EVERYWHERE.
If I straighten my hair and go out when it's raining or just otherwise humid, my hair will wave up automatically in 5 minutes or less. Nice.

Oh well, that's life and I have to thank my dad for my strong (wavy), brown hair x)
Let me continue my almost timelined story....

My return to Helsinki was soon followed by Midsummer which used to be my favourite festival but which I dislike nowadays since I usually have to spend it alone or at work.
Luckily my dear friend Iippa decided to save me from utter loneliness and boredom and came all the way from Oulainen to Helsinki to spend it with me.
MUCHLY APPRECIATED it was x)

We were supposed to watch almost all the Batman movies, but after the first one (Burton's Batman) stuff happened and we couldn't watch the rest... Instead we watched The Room (which is probably the worst movie ever made) and...

Did some candy box porn!

(Okay. I did.)

It all got me very... thoughtful.

We also played Amnesia! One of the very few things that actually makes me s*it my pants... every freaking time :D
All in all, my Midsummer turned out surprisingly good~

Today (well... yesterday) I went to the very centre of Helsinki to meet my friend Heli.

The Finnish National Theatre.

We met right infront of the building in question and then just... headed to Pohjoisesplanadi and even bumped into our other friend Sonja. It was pretty random and fun. We even went to Helsinki Info to ste- get some tourist quides in Japanese x)

I also realised that it's the Pride week! I was accidentally wearing the right top for it as well!

Look at my fringe! It's grown SO fast.

Yeah, I know you can't really see the top, but I'm wearing the same one in the manba photos from last year, so if you wanna see it, just go a bit back in my archive and it should be there :)
It says "Under the Rainbow" :333

So yeah... we went shopping and stuff and I bought some nail polishes with my nonexistent money...
But hey! At least my nails are cool now (DAMN YOU PHONE)!

So blurry -_-

Yeah, I used some blue and silver-ish nail polish I found from my cousin's cupboard and then used my own, new, Wet 'n' Wild Wild Shine glitter nail polish and top coat.
I stole the idea from Iippa who got it from this tutorial :3
Next time I'm gonna do another colours and it's gonna be even better. Mwah.

Aaanygays. I'm running out of randomness and I've been listening to Eye of the Tiger SO much that I should really head to bed now. Quickly.

Unkle Baourban is going quickly.

A Sunday in the life of Sarumi... on a tuesday!!! :D

As I said in the last post, here's my "one day in a life of"-post. Late, I know, but you'll soon understand why.

Warning! A hevy load of pictures ahead! Clicking them might make them grow in size!

So Sunday is usually my laundry day.
In St. John's campus, where I live, the laundry is pretty expensive so I always go over to my friends' place in city centre to do my laundry... for free.
Aaaanyway, my Sunday mornings start with...

me waking up. This time I woke up around 9.30.

After getting up I usually take a shower. Unless I've already showered the evening/night before.
(The shampoo bottles here are HUGE!)

After shower I smear myself with lotion. Or in this case, with emolient cream x)

Face, hands and feet. Those usually dry the most, so it's good to smear them often.
Especially face if you're planning to put some make up on.

The cream takes some time to "absorb" into the body, so meanwhile I like to make my bed. I hide my nightshirt under my pillows.

Then I try to decide what to wear... NOT easy.
I usually turn to Ranzuki for help if it gets way too hard...

Then the problem seems to be tights. Which ones to wear!?!

I can tell you, this Sunday I went for...

the purple ones!

I get very bored if I don't listen to music while dressing and putting make up on.
Honestly, I just get so blank and... monotone if I dress and make up in silence when I have time!

Sooo... I switch the plug on and then my lovely laptop, Daniel.

When Daniel's all up I execute Winamp
and start listening to whatever music Daniel and Winnie decide to play.

Usually I have to skip every other song, because I just want to listen to SOMETHING, but I don't really know what xD

Make up time!

The tools I used this time. Sorry, forgot the M.A.C's mascara and lipstick from the picture!

Lot's of Lumene and M.A.C. again :D
There's also Rimmel's white eyeshadow and Wet n' Wild's black eyeliner.

Make up done!
I apologise again, I forgot to take pictures of the process since I was trying to hurry up.

On to the hair!

Which turned out like this!
I have my extensions on and then all of it put up with a hair clip I bought from Japan 3 years ago :'D

My clip-on extensions are a bit lighter than my own hair, so I always try to fix my hair in a way that it's harder to realise it's not my own hair x)

Outfit for the day~

That happened to be purple tights from Seppälä, Rosebullet's waist skirt (from SpiritStore) and grey, long-sleeved shirt from GinaTricot.
Simple but cute, if you ask me :3
I also wore one of my favourite trainers, they go together so well with the skirt ♥

Now on with the story we go! This was, and still is, the story about a Sunday in my life xD
After I was ready, I looked outside my window...

to see it was raining. Again.

That's pretty much how it goes around here and I'm getting used to it :D

So I grabbed my umbrella and headed to Students' Union's bus stop to check if there was a bus coming in the near future.

Luckily enough my mp3 told me that the time was about 11.46 and the timetable said "There should be a bus 11.46.".
So I waited.
Comfortably under my fancy umbrella.

Waiting for the bus in the rain makes me go DERP.

And the bus comes!
Yay!

There were two Chinese girls out, waiting for the bus with me. They must've thought I was weird since I was hanging out with a laptop bag, Bank-bag full of something, holding an umbrella and taking pictures of random things and myself x)

The bus tickets here are so kind x3

Bus journeys are usually a bit boring so took a bunch of needless pictures... -_-'
I'll share a few of them with you anyway.

Like this one where I'm all constipatedly excited about my little trip that I do every Sunday.

I had so much stuff with me xD I usually leave Daniel at home, but this time I made an exception.

Bored.

This is why I usually walk...

ALMOST THERE!

(I think it takes about 15 minutes for the bus to get from campus to the town)

There!
Yes, the bus ends up infront of the biggest (?) nightclub in Worcester :D

Then I have to walk... 'cause frankly enough, my friends' DON'T live in Tramps :D

Follow the arrows!

Walk some more and still follow the arrows!

And then I finally arrive at the Sansome Halls! To get in, I have to press the buzzer.

Of course the day I have some heavy-ish load with me, the elevators out of order, thanks to a power cut that happened 2-3 DAYS before :D

So I walked upstairs and was, luckily, greeted by a smiling Monica who kindly opened the door for me ♥

(Random fact: I've now posted 30 pictures in this blogpost and I've been writing this for over an hour!)

So I dropped my stuff, put some teatowels and potholders in the washing machine, chatted with the guys and then headed out to buy some breakfast.

Breakfast from Co-op. I also bought something else, but that I'll reveal a bit later x)

Oh! Did I tell you what the kitchen looked like when I arrived?

No I didn't, but don't worry! I took a picture!

Yeah.

This of course makes me sad.
But I started on my breakfast anyway.

So I pulled out all that stuff I bought from Co-op. And Superdrug and Boots x)
Detergent, cosmetics and breakfast!

OMNOMNOMNOM.

Breakfast at 2 o'clock 'cause that's how I roll.

I also played some Super Mario Bros. 3,
'cause I also roll like that!

Do not approve of the pile of dishes.

So I worked my magic and soon the pile was gone!

With nothing to do, while waiting for my laundry to wash and dry I:

Polished my nails...

Watched Sam cooking...

Watched telly...

but hey! Baftas' red carpet was on and later in the evening they'd have the awards on BBC one!!!
We decided to watch them but we still had two hours to go...

So I finished my laundry...

We watched some TV (more)...

We even played some games on our laptops...

We went to Tesco to get some food and laugh at the huge crisp bags.
We got food from McDonald's but I forgot to take a picture in there. Damn.

While in McDonald's, we realised that it was already about 9 o'clock so we hurried back to the flat and started watching Baftas immediately...

I, of course, forgot to take pictures. Again xDDD

After Baftas we played...
Mario Kart on Wii!
Everyone wanted to play with Yoshi, but in the end the other Sam got him so I decided to go, against all my nature, with Peach :'D
Strangely enough, I won a few times even though it was my first time playing Mario Kart Wii and with a character riding a bike!

We finished playing around 2. SOMETHING... yes, in the night. So it was Monday already.

After checking I had everything packed and with me we headed out.

We, as in Monica and me. She usually walks me back halfway (= Sabrina Bridge) and if we get one of the guys to come with us, they might walk me walk all the way back to St. John's (takes about 25-30 minutes).

It was nearly 3 o'clock in the night when we got to Sabrina Bridge so I pretended to be a swan whisperer.

They actually answered me a few times.
Probably tried to tell me to "F*ck off!" :D

Nevertheless, it made me happy and so I continued my journey back home.

I must've arrived at home around 3.15, so you can guess how tired I was.

You can't? Well, let me show you:

THIS tired.

I just flopped down on my bed... got up a few minutes later to remove my hair and make up and to change into my nightshirt... just to flop down on the bed again.

So, how do you like my Sunday!? xD

I wanted to post this already on Monday, but I had a LOOONG morning... and when I woke up I just couldn't be assed to do anything before leaving to Leicester to see Umbrellas of Cherbourg. Of course we got back from there so late, that I headed straight to bed.
Today (I'll just pretend it's still Tuesday) I had two lectures and dance (who knew even the smallest amount of "ballet" would be so hard ;__;) so... that's why I'm posting this LATE.

And NOW... I'm going to ceremoniously... ceremonially (?) flop on my bed and FALL ASLEEP. Good night!
