I can't help myself from looking for you.

I feel like going on a rant about things, but I'm going to keep this entry nice and (hopefully) interesting instead.

Last week's Saturday I made a cake:

And because I'm nice enough I'm gonna tell you the ingredients :3

Ingredients
base:
3 eggs

2dl of sugar
2dl of flour

1 tsp of baking powder

filling:
rasberry jam
topping:

whipped cream

strawberries

chocolate and white chocolate sprinkles

I am NO baker or confectioner, but this is the easiest thing to make, and filling could be changed to another jam or pretty much anything, like mashed bananas with nutella :3
The important thing is to moisten the base enough (which I quite didn't with this one). I used diluted lemon juice with a pinch of sugar which gives a whole new level of delicious to the cake since then it's not ALL SWEET.

Here, have a piece :3

Btw! Remember the Barry M. nailpolishes I wrote about? I decided to try them together and was very happy with the result:

Ended up wearing these for almost a week till I changed the base to pink (does not look as good.)

Also, I can't be assed to change my nails so often 'cause it takes time...
And throughout the week I spent most of my time in Uni. Or dancing.
I have ridiculously long lectures on Mondays and Tuesdays (I'm talking about over 6 hour lectures), on top of that I have dance on Wednesdays (2 hours) and Fridays (1,5 hours) and another lecture on Thursday (only 4 hours this time) so that's how I spend most of my week.

Free time is spent by tumblin', which I'm kinda addicted to, learning lines, reading, dancing some more, writing and watching movies/TV shows. Sometimes I even play something :D

The gratuitous picture of myself.

My friends, Danni and Reece, and I went to see The Lion King 3D on Friday so I wanted to put some orange/yellow make-up on :3 After the movie, when I had cried most of my make-up off, I got an idea to do a proper Lion King inspired make-up. I might try out my idea one day (soon) so wait for it!

Yesterday we actually celebrated Danni's birthday, in neon-theme, so I went to get some stuff for it.
Ended up getting these very cute, sailor-ish flats:

Not exactly neon, but I've been in dire need of flats and these where just too asdsfdfdsf
£10 - Office

Here they are, again, against my terrible carpet.

I also ended up getting two new lipsticks because it was love at first sight.

Sleek MakeUP True Colour Lipsticks

The best (?) thing about them: they are both matte *__*
And they contain Vitamin E which, I guess, is supposed to help protecting the tissue of the lips.

I actually have swatches of these!!!
I'm not wearing any make-up base or lip-primer in these pictures, so it is ALL lipstick or lipstick+gloss:

Amped 781 without gloss

With Wet N Wild glitter lip gloss (E81810)

The pictures are taken with DSLR camera, in my room with natural light the window and nature provided, so the colours appear a bit lighter than they are in real life, it's actually pretty fluorescent pink~ (/EDIT 18.1.2012)

Mystic 783 without gloss

With gloss

And both at the same time, without gloss. Mystic on left, Amped on right.

In pictures the difference between Amped and Mystic might not be that big, but when live, you can actually see it.
I'm just so in love with these two right now :3 I just wanna use them all the time, but I do not dare because it would get boring so soon.

I actually used Amped for the birthday, because it is bright and after all the theme was neon.
Shamefully enough, I forgot to take a picture of my make-up, but I know other people took photos during the night so IF I find a not-so-embarrassing picture I'll post it!

I do have a picture of my hair that my flatmate, Monica, made for me:

Bun!

There's a secret how we managed to make it look like I have a lot of hair, but that's a whole another story ;D

It was a good party although thinking about some things that happened last night makes me want to go on a rant again...

So I guess I should quit here x')

P.S. Ah, I am sooo in love with Adele's Set Fire to the Rain right now and I really, really want to make a contemporary-ish routine to it (I even have an idea/story for it), but I feel that I'm not good enough as a dancer to actually make a routine.

The Fly was harrassing me ALL night.

So Animecon came and went and I have to admit that despite all the smaller and bigger problems we faced it was fun eventhough I had NO time to really go and see any panels I wanted to see.
As I mentioned before I was performing in the paraparashow, taught one paraparalesson and I also co-hosted the cosplay-competitions with my team mate Kiira. 't was busy.

Ach well. Let's get to the random stories again before I return to the weekend.

I am an amazing cook.

Last two weeks I spent mostly inside watching Supernatural since I had no money to actually take a bus anywhere.
There were moments when I left the house to take the dog out, or see a friend who lives in Kannelmäki OR one day when my cousin drove us to Myyrmäki to do some shopping.

That day I wore my cousin's new-old dress and my aunt's OLD (like 80's old) waist-belt :3

Which both are nowadays mine, btw x) My cousin bought the dress a while ago and THEN decided it doesn't suit her and gave it to me... don't mind if I do~
My task during the shopping trip was to just follow my cousin and her daughter and tell my opinion IF she asked. I was rewarded with Chinese food :D
I got a new necklace as well, because it was ridiculously cheap. Yay :3

So lovely~

Last... Monday? Tuesday? One day I made new nails for the week AND weekend.
I, once again, borrowed the colours from my cousin and used my own Gosh's French Manicure Base, Wet 'n' Wild's glitter and Top Coat.

Left hand on the left and right on the right x)

To be honest, the nails still look really good and I've been wearing them for a week now o_O
Yes, they endured through the weekend even though I was doing a lot of stuff.
Talking about the weekend, let me show you some pictures of few of my favourite things from the weekend:

Kiira with "yukata helvetti".

We both needed yukata for the cosplay-competition so we borrowed some from our friend Saara and team mate Sefie.
What Saara gave us was a huge Veikon Kone- plastic bag full of all kinds of stuff meant for kimono and even Hello Kitty earwarmers and some random socks...
The second I saw the bag I named it "yukata helvetti" (yukata hell).

Oh, but what is THIS!?

It is none other than:

Parapara Paradise PS2-game!

I've played the proper arcade game that you can see in the back cover of the game (the one with the girls) and the PS2-game before and I have to admit that the idea is GOOD but the execution NOT so much.
The sensors in both versions are just terrible and don't even work properly.
Aka if you dance you have to just wave your hands frantically or just put them to where they're supposed to be... not actually dance the choreography :'''D

And last but not least:

Dodge Dart Swinger '73

I'm a bit of a car geek sometimes... This one could also be a newer Dodge Dart, but the grille and the rear is too much of a '73 Dart so I don't think I'm that off saying it's the '73 :D

I don't really have anything else to tell right now so I'll get back to you some day.
Have fun and don't get burned in the sun!

Looks like I should start betting money!

Sooo... tonight we saw the final of Eurovision song contest, embraced not only by the rainbow people, but other citizens of Europe AND other continents!

I, myself, LOVE the contest in question. The clothes, the background, the stage, the lighting, the good songs, the gorgeous ladies, the hot men, the dancers, the terrible songs and costumes that are fun to diss, the ruckus that some countries getting points and some NOT getting causes and the list goes on...
All in all. I. love. it.

This year I had pretty much six favourites from which three managed to get into top 5!
Lucky!? ;D
My favourites, NOT in any specific order... well, let's make it an alphabetical order (and let's throw in the results as well for the heck of it!):
Azerbaijan (1), Denmark (5), Greece (7), Iceland (20), Moldova (12) and Sweden (3).

So yeah. Out of those six, four got into top 10 and one was close to it (only 10 points behind Lena, who was 10th somehow). Good, huh?

Azerbaijan's song was so cute and sweet and like someone said, it could very well fit into a climatic scene in Grey's Anatomy :D
Denmark was so catchy and nice! And the boys were cute as hell! I don't care if people think that they stole it from MUCC or Andreas Johnson (lol, does that mean that MUCC stole it from Andreas Johnson!? Or vice versa!?). I mean for real. Who cares. The melody is simple and it'd be a surprise if someone HAD NOT used it before!
Greece. I can't even describe what I feel when I see and hear that man singing. The rap could've been a bit better BUT HOLY SHIT THE SINGING. POWER FIST. I loved it.
Iceland was SOOOO nice! Hemmut ♥ The song was so warm. It was just lovely~
Moldova had some real party going on! You could immediately see that they're professionals when on stage. And I love the way they combine hardcore, folklore music and who knows what! I adore that kind of music~
Sweden. Saade ♥ The semi-final was the first time I saw and heard him and I have to admit, it was love at first sight/hearing. The song was good and it worked. As did the performance.

Other songs I liked were France's and UK's. Well, I loved Blue, but their song could've been better because I know they can do better. And I like opera so that's probably why I enjoyed France as well!

I am not going to go on a rant on songs I didn't like, unless someone really wants me to x)
But! I might talk something about the hair and costumes someday if I find pictures to go with them because some of them where just... what :D

So what did YOU like? And do you think I should actually say (=rant) something about the songs I didn't like?

Busy? A bit.

Sometimes I forget I'm a drama student :D

I just had to post this, because it's amusing me greatly x)
Yes, it is my drama work, although I feel more of an architect :D In one of my modules we have to build our own model box for a chosen play. I picked Enron and decided to put it in Wild West. Challenge, since the play is very modern and tells about Enron, an energy company and the scandal that evolved around it. We'll just have to wait and see what comes of my box and idea x)

I've also been pretty busy with all the other uni work. For example, I'm performing next week on another one of my modules and it's very important since it's going to count on my final module grade. I also have to write 3 essays and one evaluation of my partner's work. Wow.
On top of that, our dance society is working on a show so I'm pretty much spending 4 hours a week dancing and rehearsing :'D

The reason for that amount of work is the fact that I'm spending WAY too much time outside with friends, laying on grass, playing cricket, tennis, football or whatever we decide to do... it's 19 degrees (celsius) outside right now and I'm inside, making my model box because I have to ;___;
Oh yeah, I even went out on Thursday for my friend's birthday and got back around 3am, oops :'''D

Oh well, I hope I'm gonna get the box at least 80% done today so I can relax tomorrow and do something else (= work from another module). ROFS.

I need REAL work.. I'm running out of money, it's terrible.

Wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeew!

I am so sorry, but camera is STILL pretty much destroyed ;__;
So no pictures, or only not-good camera phone pictures, till then.
I really need to get it fixed or get a new one... depending which comes cheaper.

Anyhow, meanwhile you can watch a video where I ramble, sound and look funny ;D

I have to hurry now so I can party with my team and our fellow sportsers!

This is what I call awkward.

Katsokaa ja naurakaa.
Watch and laugh :D

I don't really like my voice or accent so I speak funny. LOL.

But hey! Hail for Make Up Store's yellow eyeshadow and for M.A.C's blue eyeshadow!!

So many birthdays... AGAIN!

I haven't updated in a while... and I don't actually have anything important to tell, so here you go! Have a few pictures and short stories about my past week and a half! x)

As some of you might know in addition to parapara, I dance in our Uni's Dance Society (= everything random that our captains decide to make us do, usually hiphop-ish), so last Friday we had out team photos taken.
So I woke up earlier than usually to straighten my hair and put some make up on, only to turn up looking like this:

I HAD eyelashes on, but I removed them when I got back home and before I took the photo :''D I realised after that, that I should've kept them on for a bit longer!
Anyhow, tools of trade that, quite frankly, look the same as always xD

♥ Gosh - pressed powder (02 So Natural)
♥ Lumene Natural Code Trio Eyeshadow (2 Beauty, I think...)
♥ M.A.C Fluidline Gel Eyeliner (Blacktrack, duh)
♥ Wet 'n' Wild eyeliner (black)
♥ M.A.C Mascara (Studio Fix Lash, black)
♥ M.A.C's eyelashes (as NOT seen in picture!)
♥ Lumene Arctic Definition Mineral Eyebrow Pencil (2 Grey Brown)
♥ M.A.C lipstick (Creme Cup)

Eye make up without the lashes.
A'yup. Looks like I used '2 Beauty' and all of its colours x)

The official group photo turned out like this:

We also took an unofficial, fun photo, but I am not going to post it here x)

Also, hail the power of photoshop. I'll tell you a secret... I did NOT have a Saints-hoodie in the picture :D
But that's all for Friday the 18th.

Btw, I bought a new top some time ago... I guess it was the same Friday, haha!

Crappy picture of my awesome blue leopard top! (£9.99 TK Maxx)

Back to business!

This Wednesday our v. captain/coach Chelsea was celebrating her birthday. Now, Wednesdays are usually social nights, meaning that different Uni societies get dressed up with different themes and go out being unnecessarily noisy and silly. That's the reason why Chelsea took over this week's social and made it her birthday social, theme: black cats and grey mice.
Of course she divided us so, that 1st and 2nd years were mice and 3rd years and commitee members were cats.

I had grey clothes so I just had to make some ears:

Excuse my super retarded face! Photo taken with flash and. I. hate. flash! xD

But you can see my awesome ears... the other is attached pretty poorly to my head.
I made them with grey and pink felt.
First I cut a piece of paper to see if it was the right size and shape. Then I cut the actual pieces of felt and sewed them together by hand. Quick and easy and everyone seemed to love my ears :3

My coursemate Cate also celebrated her birthday then, but with another theme, so it was pretty funny to go over, dressed as a mouse, when everyone else was either a goth or a chav :''D

Of course I headed to town while wearing my mouse costume because that's how we roll during socials! Luckily I went there with few Saints, so we didn't look that weird. Beside, the bus driver probably found it amusing to have three mice, two cats, a wrestler with pink thights and other random... characters in his vehicle.

My bff Ross had a birthday on Wednesday (like ACTUAL birthday. He was the only one of the three who actually had his birthday that day xD) so he was a bit weirded out when he saw me with the ears and whiskers :D
It took some explaining to make him realise that I was there also for the social and even after that he always made this weird face when he re-realised my ears xD

I ended up removing my ears earlier than I wanted to because everyone kept messing with them.

And I guess that's pretty much all of it.
Now TBBT o/
