Which task to tackle first..?

Who the heck thought it'd be a great idea to be a treasurer for Dance Society, an officer for International Committee, start dissertation early, do some extra dancing alongside of dance and all the coursework?!?
Oh yeah, I did.

In other words, I'm struck with a busy period, where I'm supposed to write a 2000 word report for Friday, apparently also make a big info packet/stall about Finland (for World Festival we're organising), organise a treasure hunt for Saturday (also for World Festival), sort out kit money for dance (which is going to be happening all over the week), start working on my practical for independent study, and so on...

SO. I'll be back to blogging as soon as I can, which will hopefully be after this weekend!

KLARA VAPPEN!!!

First of all, I'm very sorry that I haven't updated in 3 weeks. There is a good reason(s) though.

1st: I had one of my final assignments (a performance) 14th of April and hence, had to concentrate on that one. A lot.
2nd: After that AND on top of that I've been wrestling with other assisgnments, like 3 essays and a model box.
3rd: I went to Finland for Easter, spent 12 days there, barely doing any essays :'D

And now, that I'm finally back, I'm still wrestling with 3 essays, 2 evaluations, one model box and a multimedia presentation. Plus I should start deciding and learning lines for one of the final performances. Oops.

So yeah, I'm busy and still I spend my time doing everything else... like last night, I went to see Thor~
Tonight, I'm thinking about Source Code x)

Ah well, since this is a quick filler and apology entry, I'll give you few pics from my trip to Finland (taken with my phone)!!!

I was making the bed for myself on the sofa and as soon I had cleared it off all the stuff the kids had left on it, he jumped on it and laid down. I decided to make the bed on him...
He just doesn't care :D


Otherwise, Finland was pretty grey, brown and dusty. The normal, derpressing mid-season of winter and spring :'D




The most colourful thing being the Helsinki underground which is always so... orange!





On Monday the 25th, we drove to see our relatives with my cousin and her kids. Finnish countryside? Well, it looks like this:

It was really nice seeing relatives since I hadn't seen them in AGES. Shame it was only for a day.
Then it was back to Helsinki to see friends (= is running around the city, paying A LOT to travel, since the public transport is EXPENSIVE in Helsinki).
Oh, the underground map of Helsinki is ridiculous compared to London's and even to Stockholm's tunnelbana:

So easy to get lost :DDD
But yeah, it was really nice seeing everyone. Hopefully I'll be able to pay all my bills etc. and start saving money for plane tickets... again :'D

I just had to post this, because it's amusing me greatly x)
Yes, it is my drama work, although I feel more of an architect :D In one of my modules we have to build our own model box for a chosen play. I picked Enron and decided to put it in Wild West. Challenge, since the play is very modern and tells about Enron, an energy company and the scandal that evolved around it. We'll just have to wait and see what comes of my box and idea x)

I've also been pretty busy with all the other uni work. For example, I'm performing next week on another one of my modules and it's very important since it's going to count on my final module grade. I also have to write 3 essays and one evaluation of my partner's work. Wow.
On top of that, our dance society is working on a show so I'm pretty much spending 4 hours a week dancing and rehearsing :'D

The reason for that amount of work is the fact that I'm spending WAY too much time outside with friends, laying on grass, playing cricket, tennis, football or whatever we decide to do... it's 19 degrees (celsius) outside right now and I'm inside, making my model box because I have to ;___;
Oh yeah, I even went out on Thursday for my friend's birthday and got back around 3am, oops :'''D

Oh well, I hope I'm gonna get the box at least 80% done today so I can relax tomorrow and do something else (= work from another module). ROFS.

I need REAL work.. I'm running out of money, it's terrible.

I am so sorry, but camera is STILL pretty much destroyed ;__;
So no pictures, or only not-good camera phone pictures, till then.
I really need to get it fixed or get a new one... depending which comes cheaper.

I can tell you that the new background is NOT progressing :D I started it, got super annoyed with Photoshop changed to Paint and got tired and stopped x))
I had a lecture today in our school library. Specifically in its Mac Room. The computer screens there have a ridiculously huge resolution (1680 x 1050) and if the resolution is smaller on that screen (for example the good old 1024 x 768) it might make everything look blurry on the screen ("I thought it was just me.")...
which made me think if I should actually make my background THAT big :''D
Right now I'm working on it to be 1280 x 800 pixels... the proportion would be the same (between 1680x1050 and 1280x800) anyway, so I guess it doesn't matter.
But DAMN I need a tablet. Everything would be so much easier!

Oh yeah! Second semester started on Monday! I had my first lecture this morning though and after a VERY interesting and long night (my flatmates woke AND kept me up...) I'm surprised I managed to drag myself out of the bed early enough to have a shower and actually do something to my face. And hair.

I ended up looking like this. Haha, you can't even tell that my hair's straigthened in this picture :'D

Anyway anygay. Like I said, semester 2 started today (in my case) with two new modules. First one we had in Library and the second and in Drama Studio, but I knew we weren't gonna do anything hard and sweaty (hence the make up and tight jeans... that you can't see xD).
I had lectures from 10.15 till about 17.30, so I hurried back to my room to change clothes for dance. My lecture was supposed to end at 18.15 and dance starts at 18.00, so... I was lucky :D
I had a LONG day. And it's going to be like that for the rest of the semesters.
Thursdays are pretty much the same: one morning module, one afternoon module and dance in the evening x) Oh the joy.

On to other news!
Our heating has been off for almost a week now. They're supposedly fixing it and while they are doing whatever they are doing, we are left with one spare radiator between six people.
Now, my friend Laura (the same I got Paavo and Tane from) gave me her old hot water bottle and I decided to use it tonight.

This is what happened x)

My lower back is actually the warmest place you can find on my body. My hands and feet are always freezing, but my back is like a radiator. So I thought that maybe, just maybe, the heat would then spread. It didn't. It stayed comfortably in my lower back so I decided to move the bottle to the front...
which made me look like a pregnant teenager...
And no, you are NOT getting a picture of that.

I always promise "I'll write something about technique in parapara." or "I'll write about Golden Globes!" and then... it takes me YEARS to do it or then I just forget it xDDD
Okay. When I have more time.
During the weekend.
I'll find time to quickly write about my favourite things in Golden Globes.

I wanted to watch more Scully's and Mulder's epic romance X-Files, but I think I am way too tired for that now (thank flatties!).
